If you have not seen it, we suggest you watch a humourous documentary by UK Channel 4 about Scientology, called "The Beginner's Guide to L. Ron Hubbard".
It is a good orientation to Scientology and Ron's Org for anyone who knows little about either.
In the 1970s and early 1980s, there were many Scientology "missions" around the world. They introduced many people to Scientology. Several California missions were very large.
